Tomorrowland – around the world

Tomorrowland – around the world is a digital version of the annual Electronic Dance Music festival (normally held in Boom, Belgium and the winter event in the French Alps) . Pivoting to a digital format during 2020 an 2021, the virtual festival offered various stages that featured different styles of Dance music, mirroring the in-person experience. The event offered audience member the opportunity to hear influential speakers and download cocktail recipes as well as the music itself. The event used 4 green screen studios around the world to stage the acts and the virtual festival experience was enhanced with the use of 280,000 virtual people (with the avatars having individual attributes) to make up a crowd. Tomorrowland sold over 1 million tickets for the festival.
