Over Lunan
Over Lunan was an in-person open air, experience which ran from 9 – 19 September 2021. located in dunes of Lunan Bay in Angus, Scotland – the evening outdoor production mixed theatre, sound and light installations and live music to convey the history and mythology associated with Lunan Bay and described by its creators as sound and visual promenade performance. A forty-minute radio piece of the same name was created by the same team and ticketholders were encouraged to listen to the piece (available on the Over Luna / aproxima website and broadcast on Radio North Angus, Resonance FM Resonance Extra) ahead of their visit. The audio work tells the story of Lunan through the eyes of fictional journalist who dedicated several months to studying the landscape and its history before disappearing on the beach before his work was complete. Part of the in-person experience shows ‘artefacts’ and props from the audio work and onsite actors explain the story.
