Displays Decoded (by Alex Hirtzel) – University of Bristol Botanic Gardens
Displays Decoded by Alex Hirtzel was an in-person Art exhabition presented at the University of Bristol Botentic Gardens between July and October 2021. Augmented reality was used as part of the multi-media botnetanical theamed pieces, adding an additional layer to the work in conveying some of the scientific principles of pollenating flowers. Visitors were invited to access the AR via their mobile device, by scanning a QR code next to each peice. The QR code takes the user to a bespoke Instagram filter and allows them to see a various looped amimations of polinators interactions with the relevent painting.
