Blenheim Palace digital experiences
Blenheim palace (a UNESCO world heritage site) is a stately home belonging to the 12th Duke of Marlborough and birthplace of Winston Churchill. In response to the UK Covid restrictions, Blenheim offered a digital experience for visitors during the summer of 2020 through a series of ticketed events for seminars and virtual house tours. Experiences varied in price from £5 per ticket for 45min seminar attendance (which facilitate questions to be submitted to the speakers) to £40 for a group of 6 to attend an hour long house tour slot. House tours focused on a particular theme and utilised a 3D digital experience and props to take the visitor into the chosen subject with their guide. Virtual experiences appeared to have dis-continued since covid restrictions lifted.
